Acute wounds

Acute wounds are typically less than 6 weeks old and may be caused by:

a burn,

a fall,

a sports injury,

an animal bite,

any damage/break in the skin.

WMC’s management of acute wounds will:

provide an initial full assessment,

identify what steps need to be taken,

select the dressings to be applied,

create a comprehensive management plan that recognises your lifestyle and promotes healing,

provide ongoing management of the wound.
